With small breasts and a small butt she could be a beauty queen in Europe. That is not exactly what we really like in Latin American. We like women with beautiful curvaceous bodies with fat legs, not so tall and with no so big breasts (Oh, those marvelous “bizcochitos”!)
Barbie is not an example of the Latin American woman “and we do not want it to be so”.
We have our women, we really like our women and we can proudly show our women everywhere in the world.
Latin American women have their space and I think that the black women are not going to get their space too while women without actual negroid features represent them.

i think that the "standard of beauty" tend to differ when compare to other culture and people. for example: what is "japanese beauty" for japan and the japanese people is not what
" beauty" or the "standard of beauty" is for germany and the german people.

this is why many dominican men may not look up to the haitian woman as "beautiful".

is just we dominican and the haitian people have different cultural ideal of what "beauty" is. just like many other different culture around the world.

DelgadoMASS, that is exactly my point: there is no “universal” standard of beauty, but you must proudly show what is beauty “for you” (the standard of beauty of your culture, your country or your region). A Japanese woman is not going to show a German woman as her standard beauty or a German woman is not going to show a Japanese woman as her standard beauty.
I do not believe that “many Dominican men may not look up to the Haitian woman as ‘beautiful’”, we have our own share of women with negroid characteristic and they have their space among us too.
Here we are talking about showing women with Caucasian characteristic as examples of the beauty of the Haitian woman using the one drop rule. That is very unfair and it must be disgusting for the actual Haitian woman (the standard actual Haitian woman).
