Ny4life,

Manito escuchame bien. I am not a victim that is hilarious my friend. Dominicans haven't done anything to me and I have never allowed the confrontation between the two nations effect how I view dominicans that I have come into contact with and many I consider close friends. I am not into nationalistic debates when I feel both countries have done wrong not only to each other but to its own citizens respectively. I think you guys need to stop reading NGO articles and get into contact with haitains living a well in the DR.

Regarding these heros that are dominican that have haitian ancestry doesn't take the fact they are dominican heros. Even Gomez isn't viewed as haitian to us haitians rather a dominican of haitian ancestry just like Luperon,Duverge,Trujillo, and the ones mentioned in the link. I mean don't you see that the link was countered the minute it was posted. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that Catalunya are mixture of Spanish & French. I actually can read it decently anyway besides the point. What is the factuation with europeans? This is the big difference between haitains & dominicans. Many pony ride the saddle of the europeans when in actuality the pony doesn't want you to ride it. I have never met spaniards talking about long lost cousins in Dominican Republic and seeing you as there people. Actually I think the dominicans are one of most infactuated group of people that is almost an obsession. Again I am generalising a population of 9 million. We all have ancestors in europe some way or another ok great but you aren't europeans. I personally dont care but you sure get a chuckle from others. I wish I can record a conversation between europeans regarding dominicans that would hurt the hell out of many. Cibaeno is one that knows his ancestry and acknowledges and keeps it moving as a dominican while others feel some sort of blue blood connect when it fact it isn't. Again these guys are dominican..and if haitian ancestry wasn't mention it would not be a discussion...if one was from spain ancestry..it would be seen as honor and no one would question it. Victim please señor, not me..far from it..again a big misconception my friend..

Lets not make this about muchacho. The minute I called him out using a translator and graduating from Sorbonne and meeting the princess Diana(exagerration) I knew he was a farse. One thing I can't stand is a fictional character that portrays as some sort of scholar..I called my own nationality out on this too..Im sure you read it..So I am an equal opportunity and it isn't because of ones nationality..One thing I know he have some special posters here..the internet creates better fantasies than Harry Potter, I prefer to stay in this dimension...If I want to go into wonderland I will just go to the library and search in the fictional section..I thought this forum was non fictional..

You know jabao...like we say in NYC...you really need to get off my dick. I know you like it, but it's getting sore.

Enleve-toi de ma kiquette, salope...parceque je m'enfous de ce que tu en penses.

You keep making allegations you can't prove?

Do you know me? Do you want it from me? Bring it, monkey...I got your banana.

Tu est un crouille et un connard que connais pas la difference entre ta tete et ton cul.

Now look those up in a online translator!

My apologies to anyone who is familiar with french slang and curses.

Oh, and for the record...it's their, not "there", it's "infatuation", not inFACTuation. It's affect...not Effect. It's infatuated...not inFACTuated. It's exageration...not exAGERRation. It's farce...not fARSE. And Cataluña has never been a mixture of French and Spanish. You would do well to use an online translator.

Just for the chuckle...I emailed the link to this post to some of my ¨long lost cousins¨ in Extremadura.

And here I thought that you considered that department an exclusivity of Rubirosa, jabao.

Anyway, I consider this genealogical debate a big waste of time, since it will not help in the process of actually finding solutions to the problems faced by the relations between both countries, in my humble opinion.

Frankly, its a waste of time considering that this thread is about a railroad. My post that ignited his inferiority complex was never even about his people or his ancestry. It was about...and I repeat...the shoddy scholarship of the authors of another website. But like NY4Life astutely pointed out...there does seem to be a very thin skin among some people when Dominicans discuss their origins. Let me remind some people that we are discussing our origins and they should really be more interested in theirs and leave us to debate ours.

I agree with Muchacho a 100%. It's a waste of time to argue this but I think it has to be done. Haitians can't come debate who Dominicans are. That's up to us to say who we are. Haitians want Domincans to say Yes we are 100% African or Black like Haitians and don't have an ounce of Taino or European blood. I mean if that's how Haitians feel than go ahead. and celebrate the African culture. Dominicans obviously don't feel that way. We celebrate our euro, taino, and to a lesser degree african blood. I think to Haitians dislike we don't celebrate mother Africa like they want us too. I mean so what, get over it. That's how are as Dominicans and its not up to Haitians to view us as being wrong or right. We have been a people since 1844. We have evolved over time and we are Dominicans. It didn't happen the other day or 20 years ago. We have been Dominicans for over 100 years, let us be. Euro, taino, and african blood, leave it up to us to decide who we want to celebrate. Just like Haitians have their right to choose African/black so do Dominicans. y YAAA Papa.

Muchacho,

Oye que te pasa. Tu estás enojado conmigo. I have blown your cover and you didn't realize that you've been "busted". What happens when you are out of character? You are a genealogist, professeur, linguist and a number of other things. Is it me or this character seems to have different personalities. Graduated from Sorbonne...The wonder of the internet, people can become scholars with a click of a search engine. The sad thing is people with common sense see right thru you my friend.

You can fool some people sometimes, but you can't fool all the people all ... Are you satisfied with the life you're living?” Bob Marley

Here I thought Rubi was a unique figure. Shaking my head at the lengths people go thru. Let me guess, you have attended the gala at the presidential palace and have received a life time achievement award at the White House. I give it to you though, you're a witty bloke only if you can manifest that into the real world. ¿Que fue Señor sabeloto'? Wow, calling names is elementary my dear friend. I will gladly take that title.."El mono" con orgullo.. What shall we call you? I will let others give you a nickname. You thought that was going to get me upset? I told you I am secure in myself..no victims here..play that card somewhere else.

Jabao Record 2-0 with a possiblity of a TKO. Frank you are an instigator..LOL Estoy harto con este sabeloto'..por favor.. Quieres seguir con esta farsa? Ay ombe, ni Tu puedes creer esa vaina..

It is beyond presumptuous for a Haitian to lecture Dominicans on their origins. There were Spanish-speaking blacks on Hispaniola long before there was a Haiti or even French-speaking Africans on that island. Their attempts at pointing out the obvious is neither necessary nor asked for, but it has become a consistent and inflamatory aspect of nearly any discussion on these boards.

Quite honestly, Dominicans have the right to engage in geneological debates on their origins without having the imput of foreigners. We've proven over time that that we will not be subjected to an outsiders idea of who and what we are on our soil. Do we need to prove it on our websites as well?
