Hi!

I'm writing from Poland.Your woman plays very good volleyball. This is a scandal that you dont have tickets to Beijing. You were better than Thailand, Korea and Kazakhstan.Maybe you should bring an appeal?Kazakhstan will be laughing-stock on Olympic games.Dominicana is a very small country with great vollyball players and good athletics sportsman Felix Sanchez!

Thank you Polish for inform us about the Volleyball tournament. Yes, the Dominican Republic has a very good women's volleyball team. The men's team is coming along slowly. I was hoping the volleyball team would make the olympics but it looks like they fell short. I hope we can make the next olympic games b/c I feel like we can perfrom very well on the world stage. In addition, to volleyball and athletics, DOminicana is very well known for its major baseball players.(David Ortiz, Pedro Martinez, Sammy Sosa) This is our most popular and successul sport. For a small country we are also able to be successful at kite-boarding, wind-surfing, and basketball. (Al Horford in the NBA from the Atlanta Hawks) is from Puerto Plata, DR.

Take care Polish and welcome to Dominicantoday!

We did a very good job, we did not have a ticket for the olympic games because the FIVB changed part of the regulation. in which the winners would be the top three finishers and the best Asian team

Under the previous rules, the Dominican Republic would have qualified, but the change they did meant that Kazakhstan qualify by being the best Asian team outside the top three -- although they have fewer points than the Dominican Republic.

La dominicana Annerys Vargas Valdez resultó la mejor bloqueadora del Torneo Mundial Femenino Clasificatorio Olímpico de Voleibol donde la representación nacional tuvo una destacada participación al salir airosa en cuatro de siete compromisos.

DR volleyball keeps goingThe Dominican volleyball team remains undefeated as they continue play in the seventh Pan American Volleyball Cup. The games are being played in Tijuana and Mexicali. In their last game the DR beat Costa Rica 25-15, 25-17 and 25-19. The only other undefeated team is Brazil. The two top scoring teams will go on to compete in the 2009 Volleyball Grand Prix.

The same Dominican Volleyball team that just missed out on the Olympic qualfication in Pekin, China is dominating the Pan-American Prix. The DR's woman's team is ranked 14th in the world! I'm very proud about that! Keep playing ladies.
