Moderator I hope you consider making this a sticky that stays on top of the forum I'll start off with a bit about me: I'm a 28yr old graduate in business & finance, work for an insurance company. Born and raised in Alto Manhattan in NYC, USA, and now I'm also a new dad raising a little one in the neighborhood. I'm from one of the many Taveras families in the Cibao from Licey, between Moca and Santiago. The fam as a whole is back and forth between our two islands (DR and Manhattan) constantly, and I'm surrounded every day by Dominicans from the homeland as well as 1st and 2nd generation-ers...so that's my connection to the culture. For kicks I like to read history & philosophy, and fave sports are boxing and martial arts. Hope the rest of you keep this alive so newcomers have a place to intorduce themselves! LOL..... my moms and her BF fam tried to hook me up with his ugly stank breath niece. They are Taveras from El Cibao. I love Washington HTs ........... but i want to visit the Dominican community in Boston... Dominican Community is growing here in South Florida... Edited on 5/17/2009 1:11 PM by chillaxin201. |
