Why Haitian related posts get more hits?
I find it to be real funny. As much as we have many Dominicans trying to chase Haitians off this site, there seems to be an immense amount of focus on threads that are of Haitian related topics.

There seems to be this affinity for people on both sides to ignore the other posts and topics. Why is that? I mean, you would think if really Dominicans wanted the Haitians out and off this site that they would refrain from posting defaming threads that Haitians would not find or offensive to take offense into in the first place so that they would not have to give rebutals to. I mean, we have posted threads that have been debated by both Haitians and Dominicans for centuries on this site which are getting way out of hand and productivity. Both sides seem to cannot get enough of each other's insults and derogatory remarks and it seems that each sides seem to feel that they have ownership as to who can project their negativity over the other. Ironically enough, sadly ans shamefuly, what a total waste of energy that could have been used to better an island called Hispaniola.

This site is not even doing any proper clean ups or when they actually do, it is completely discriminatively biased and partial as to whom are allowed to be vulgar.

P.S: I welcome any of you to do the calculations and tell me that the threads that are of pertinance to Haitian issues are not getting more hits, yet we have many Dominicans claiming that they hope this site to be a Haitian-Free site.

There is a committed core of Haitian provocateurs, and a corresponding corps of Dominican nationalists responding to them. All the noise sounds like a lot of activity but in truth we are talking about maybe 6-8 people total between both sides. This group run up pages and pages of diatribes at each other in multiple threads at once. The other dozen or so active members peek in on occasion but contribute maybe 5-10% of the content in those Haiti threads. This group which doesn't participate as much in the DR/Haiti discussion, I've come to realize we are the insane ones. We have been totally fooled by the site's name and come to the site day after day hoping to learn about DR and compartir with Dominicans

Fred where in the world did you get that from my post? Am I wrong about the two teams on the board, the DR nationalists and the Haitian provocateurs? Wilgeens asked a question and my answer is that these two groups of about 4 active members each are responsible for nearly all of that activity.

Foreigners with an interest in DR and Dominicans are surely welcome on all topics, and even welcome to post off topic threads as this is a General forum. However if someone shows up and displays ZERO interest in anything DR related, and started posting 2-3 threads a day about one sole topic .... is it insane to consider this person a troll?

As for being elitist, yeah that is probably true about me...what would that make you a collectivist <---SARCASM

May I ask for the solution you and Afro-Latino have for Haiti. We are looking for a solution for Haitians in DR Haitians in Haiti have to find their own solution.

Their answer is for the dominican republic to accept every Haitian, and give them education, and give them medical treatment, and citizenship on the touching Dominican soil... all the things they expect of US but not from their own leaders and country...

my advice... don't waste your time!

RE: Why Haitian related posts get more hits?

Belly, that is pretty obvious at this point:
Afro-Latino's solution for Haiti: all the Haitians inside the Dominican Republic.
TN-1804's solution for Haiti: all the Haitians outside the Dominican Republic.
Yes, they are a couple of ignorant but that is not a problem for participating in this forum.

Belly,

To answer your question from the first above three sentences and to address teh statement made perhaps by a member bellow it. I am sending you to this link http://www.mikespinelli.com/haiti.html which is similar to some of my plans for Haiti with the addition that I would like my plan to involve Re-Militarilized Haiti and fixing the malign relations between to two nations as to see them both progress for the greater cause of the Island.
