German Diaspora:
Dominican Republic: There is a colony of around 25,000 Germans who have settled in the country, mostly on the northern coast's Puerto Plata, as well as a colony of the descendants of German and Austrian Jewish refugees in Sosua.

RE: Germans in DR
Reichmarshall Hermann Goering, The second highest ranking member of the Nazi party , was four weeks shy of being born in Haiti, his father was a diplomat who had been recalled to Germany shortly before his birth. Had Goering been born in Haiti and grew up there, how different would world history had been , Hmmmm ?

RE: Germans in DR
Sorry ,Spanish then Portuguese (although these two are normally seen as one in which case Iberian should be the term) .Abreu ,Pereira,Fereira,Evora and many more last names are from Portugal.
