In my opinion Dominicans are way too non-chalant and laid back about everything in particular the illegal immigration issue. Imagine if we had similar mindsets to Russians? There would be anti-Haitian gangs actively hunting down Haitians, people patroling the border like in the USA etc. This is one more thing that makes me extremely angry against the whole anti-Dominican crowd. It's my opinion that if the situation was reversed, we would seen at least similar if not worst treatment by Haitians upon Dominican illegals, there is no doubt on my mind and this is for various reasons.

Does anyone else find any irony in the following:

-According to Hitlers racist idealogy, Slavic people were sub-human. Supposedly he was going to use them as slave labor. Russians are slavic people, but many of the Russian anti-immigrant groups follow Nazi philosophy and even use the salute.

-Caucasian is an obsolete anthro. racial label that came about because supposedly the Caucus mountains were the original home base of the 'white' race. Yet people from this region are targeted by Russians who do not see them as really 'white European'. There's even a Russian name meaning black used as a descriptor for these non-Russian people. There's plenty of videos on the web showing these attacks but also I've seen these Caucasian people flip the script on the Russians.


On a related note, why isn't the whole race card used in the above situation, or is this only when it has to do with blackness (people of Sub Saharan ancestry) just like when the media tried to portray Sudans genocidal war on southern Sudanese non-muslim tribes as 'arab vs black'.
