The new Dominican Constitution : The break down of Good and Bad
You all may be asking why another thread about the new constitution well here is the reason behind i have been reading it and i'm starting to believe that is true that this constitution is a lot more modern than what we had and the smear going around it is just that a smear tactic by some. A lot of power has been handed to the people now and we have in our hand laws that we can use to fight against corruption but is now up to us to do it i guess.

You all may remember Alejandro Willians the senador from San Pedro holding the position while living in NY well according to the new constitution that is no longer possible.

The senator must reside in the country else he or she could be automatically replaced no questions asked.

Are you trying to say that DR no longer has or allow dual status to run for offices anymore? HOw is that good for the people?

Those son of bitches !

A lot of power has been handed to the people now and we have in our hand laws that we can use to fight against corruption but is now up to us to do it.

How is that if the people, the most disfranchised like women, the LGBT ( ) and the labor working poor this constitution set DR back into almost stone ages?

No the problem was that Alejandro Willian(the punk) was a San pedro senador getting his check from DR but living in NY which served the country for nothing since he was not doing anything for the people of San Pedro. So you still have a chance to become a senator but now is a lil harder for non-native LOL.

www.senado.gov.do

I still wonder why in the hell we using the .gov.do instead of .gob.do i mean we have Spanish as the official language but that's something that OPTIC will have to fix and they are converting now.

RE: The new Dominican Constitution : The break down of Good and Bad
Another interesting addition to the constitution.

In the enviroment section

"Los poderes públicos prevendrán y controlarán los factores de
deterioro ambiental, impondrán las sanciones legales, la
responsabilidad objetiva por daños causados al medio ambiente y a
los recursos naturales y exigirán su reparación. Asimismo,
cooperarán con otras naciones en la protección de los ecosistemas
a lo largo de la frontera marítima y terrestre."

So watch out Barry gold and your mining because any damage to the enviroment could come back to hunt you better keep clean while digging up for gold.

Belly,

Do you know who the LGBT's are ?

Well this new Constitution does to women in DR a great de-service regarding abortions at all and any level. As well as it crushes the rights of many hard working labor force of the country.
