RE: POP North coast
I am fairly sure they exist, i can remember getting presidente on tap at a resort in Bavaro. But it may only be available to commersial establishments, not idevidual consumers. I can't ever remember seeing a keg at a party (house party not at a club or establishment) in the DR now that i think about it. Some places ban the retail sail of kegs. Tho you can definatly get mini-kegs of Brugal if you look hard enough.

Well I am not sure if kegs are so much used on the Island since the bars have never gone the effort of getting kegs for even the beers that are not domestic and because the process to keg the beer can be costly an expensive.

However, it is not impossible to find at least one or two bars owned by foreigners in DR might have it or those bar inside the "All Inclusive Hotels & Resorts" of which perhaps can better afford to get kegs.

Besides, what is the used if the beers are served right to you in the bottles anyway and other local beer shop only buy the the beers in boxed cases and because the price for the keg would not equate to be the same amount as of the boxed cases, it would be much more kegged... You are talking in precess to add oxygen pressure for the propulsion of the keg. Oxygen is way more expensive than the price of gas.

As far as where you might find kegs; I would say if ever you are in Puerto Plata, try go to the Presidente Beer processing plant itself or the Brugal plan and see or ask if they can help you...

Believe it or not, they either might or will definitely have it. It just that they realize there is not much of a demand for kegs on the Island of Hispanola. Almost anything is possible in DR, but the only thing that could pose or post a challenge is having the money to afford it. So as long as you do have the money, you could get almost anything in DR and Haiti, literally.

Keg beer has no preservatives in it.

You keep it under pressure using CO2. Can last almost 2 months.

Some beer bubble ether through it to preserve it. Serious hang over.

Yeah nothings worse than cracking open a nice cold presidente and having it be skunky... i notice that beer in green bottles (heineken, presidente, rolling rock) seem to go bad faster. And whats up with presidente light everywere? I have to specify normal now, they automaticaly give you "light" if you ask for presidente, or is this just my imagination?
