Santo Domingo.-The US government will repatriate 205 Dominican ex-convicts this afternoon and tomorrow, the largest group in the last five years.

The US embassy and Dominican migration authorities said 76 Dominicans will arrive this evening on a chartered plane and 129 others tomorrow .

Officials said more than 70 percent of them served sentences for drug trafficking and the others for murder, assault, theft, forgery, fraud, kidnapping, rape and arson.

It was reported that the 205 depotees being held by the US Immigration and Naturalization Service since Monday were serving sentences of up to 15 years in prisons in New York, Boston, Los Angeles, California, Pennsylvania, Texas and elsewhere in the United States.



Let’s be honest, what is the united states suppose to do with these ex-cons, I have read articles of them crying about how they can not make any money in DR. These guys have committed crimes and they also know of the consequences if they where to be caught. If these individuals where in DR wouldn’t you want them to return to their country of origin. I have seen these men close up in DR, they can tell if you are visiting or if you are a deportee like them. They try their best to try to get over on everyone “must”. I love DR and I know that the U.S. has done a lot of bad things to DR. but they are not uppose to keep people they feel is a threat to the population.
