It is, within the promotional-end category, a slightly better quality popular priced furniture. Believe me there are a lot worse options out there that are not worth a dime. Nevertheless, It is not meant to last, but rather a contemporary clean design for a lower price, a good value for the money. The word "contemporary" means exactly that: "what is currently modern" as opposed to traditional and classical. Classic furniture basically means that regardless of age or appearance it looks timelessly fashionable, no matter the year built or when it was made. Besides, there is no sense to construct "contemporary" furniture to last long time, when it is precisely the style that will make it look dated within 5 to 10 year period and nevermind, the added costs required to make a better quality product.
