Every legal visitor is happily welcome to the Dominican Republic; Germans, Spaniards, Italians, U. S. citizens… and Haitians. Every legal resident is enthusiastically welcome in the Dominican Republic, even Haitian legal residents. We are against the irregularities of our current common life but without those irregularities we can live with Haiti as normal as we can live with any other country. They have an epic mess in their country, that is true, but as far as we can push their problems to their side and let them live their lives we must not have any problems with Haitians. ..makes sense to me. It's been a long time since we had you over here, talia. May I ask where the heck have you been these few months? Actually I was afraid that the mud slinging of the last few months might have made you leave us as it happened with jabao and souviens. Quote: PeRod previously said: Talia, there is nothing new about me, Honey. The problem is Haitians can not understand how strong our people are even with our passionate love for joy and easy living. They come to us for a fight and they get a good one. But believe me, our people is a good people too and if somebody wants to talk, we happily can talk. As you can see in page 9, Rudolph Boulos, of the Fusion Party (a Haitian senator) is publicly saying that “president René Préval does not have interest in fortifying the relations of his country with Dominican Republic” and that “he wants to be elevated in "anti-Dominican" leader” (that one, as you know, is the president of Haiti). That is happening right now in the Western part of our island. We still remember our problems with Aristide and now we are going to have problems with Préval too because in Haiti it is politically convenient to be against Dominicans (both of them had won presidential elections in Haiti). Talia, Haiti is a very complicated country and our relations are as complicated as your country is. Hey PeRod I've been busy There are those that want to fight and stay on a volatile constant, but there are definitely others that want to show how they feel through civil, logic and fair exchange. Most of the time when this is done properly, you'd be surprised at how fast agreement if not understanding can take place. Hay unos haitianos that are not hung up on racial issues (if they're even any) and overcompensating from the denial of the reason of our people's current state and struggle. And this is DominicanToday you have to respect it and be realistic about it. When posting and responding instead of just going straight for the obvious and violent rhetoric and retaliation, we can come correct with peace and civility (even when you're not shown that back, just be chill and respectful). I'm not quite sure if Pres. Preval is anti-Dominican. He may not be very effective on getting things done, but, I believe he genuinely cares about our people. Sen. Boulos has been implicated in various assasinations in the past. He has had shady business dealings. I really would not give any credence to his opinions regarding the president. Heck, he may be a good senator but has ulterior motives regarding the future politics of the country. This guy comes from one of the richest families, what have they contributed financially to the betterment of the country? |

They are two or three different situations and there are two or three different ways to manage those situations. A person like Haitianation is a bad news for both of us, Haitians and Dominicans, and for people like us (Dominicans) is just impossible to close our eyes and our ears to Haitians pigs like him, but we really like to talk with Haitians that wants to talk about our common life. He is always looking for trouble and I am sorry as these rows go on we loose people we would like to be here with us. |
