Look I don't want to interrupt you guys who seem to take such great pleasure in trashing one another-- in saying that one is better than the other and "we" would not do that... "We" would all do WHATEVER-- take the CAMPS, abu grab, eating one another in lifeboats-- driven far enough to distraction...into poverty, into despair..... So while all you Dominicans are feeling so superior just remember that this is an ISLAND... and there is just NO way that you are going to be able to survive it with 10 million starving people on the other side -- and more than what? 50% 30% of your own people with their heads above the water..... Stop it. Right now. REALLY. There are more than 300,000 people in Gonaives still STRANDED with no drinking water. Women are perched on the roof tops to avoid being raped. If you Dominicans do not start TAKING the SIDE of the HAITIANS and BANGING on the door of the international community for AID AID AID AID... NO ONE is going to come... But everyone just listens to you all -- and well, you know them best, don't you? So you say, well, they are not worth saving. they are animals, they are cannibals............. cuidado, hermanos...somos todos hermanos aqui.

Kudo mount, we need more Dominicans like you , you are the silent majority. Idiot like kakatype assume by naively posting bits of negativity here and there from youtube, think he can frame reality, however the issues are more complex for his unsophisticated brain to graps, hence for that reason he's missing the global picture. (no pun intended)Picture a separated couple living in the same house.

We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope.

My Imbecile, Racist, Ignorant and AH friend, Dominicans, Haitians, Mexicans and so on are taking and accepting low paying jobs in my country (US), it is because they will like to better themselves and want to survive rather than stealing and commiting crimes.

Arkatype, Said "Grow up" that's the haitian motto? I guess it doesn't apply when you look at the state Haiti finds itself in.

RE: Haitian Cannibalism & other anomolies
Mountainannie, the point is not if “one is better than the other”, the point is if we are going to put the Haitian tragedy on our shoulders and we are not going to do that. A lot of people want us to carry on with that awful mess (and the Haitian riches that are letting those poor people in a lifetime misery are in the front line) but definitively we are not going to do that.

We must protect our people. They have fought too hard for the few things we already have. We are not going to give what we can not give. We can help but only as far as our conditions let us help.

I know a Haitian that really enjoys showing pictures of the swimming pool he has in Petion Ville. It is a big swimming pool with a beautiful environment. Do you know there is not enough water in Haiti and some persons (usually children) have to walk up to fifteen kilometers to get some water? How can a father or a mother see their kids looking so hard for water with such swimming pools in Petion Ville and do absolutely nothing?

You can find the highest infantile mortality in the Western Hemisphere in Cité Soleil (Port-au-Prince) and their fathers and their mothers are just waiting the day they are going to die too.

What kind of people is that people?

And then if we say: “You have to resolve ‘your’ problems in ‘your’ side”, they accuse us of racism. We are not “extremely” racist. You can find racism in United States of America, you can find racism in African countries and in Europe and you can find racism even in Haiti. We have that problem too, but it is not as serious as some people with bad intentions for us pretend to show to the world. Usually some Europeans with entertainment business in Dominican Republic do not want black people in their places and we, Dominicans, have to pay that bad public image bill.

Haitians have a lot to do if they want to talk about brotherhood. We are not going to pay for the broken dishes of their irresponsible party from 1804 to these days.

Excellent PeRod good observation, i never can understand why haitians expect people to respond in a cordial manner when they never think first about fixing the problems in there own homeland. You want people to sacrifice but you dont feel or admit that the sacrifice first starts in Haiti. Crossing the border is not going to change the problems in Haiti, working in Haiti is the solution you should be after. Afterall the dominican state is not responsible for the political, environmental, population explosion and the many other ill's afflicting Haiti. I want to hear another tone from haitian posters instead of the defeated syndrome that haitians seem to suffer from, i want to hear that you want change, instead of emigrating illegally to D.R. The solutions are in Haiti not in Dominican Republic, here you will get one thing marginalization and you know what that means already. "A MAN NEEDS TO FEED HIS FAMILY FIRST BEFORE HE COULD LEND A HAND."

Maybe you should go to Haiti and take a f*cking survey. Haitian posters here are not migrating to DR and I'm sure neither are their family members.

You have a good fight and cause, but the wrong approach and arena.

Incidentally, what exactly are the problems that YOU are fixing in the DR? I know personally that I've fixed the problems of some of your illegals here in the US.

You talk all this sh*t but never in a million years would you work for CESFRONT.

The problems do start in Haiti and fixing them are Haiti's job, but, tell starving and desperate people that they have to help fix a situation that's wayyy above their means and might.

YOU all should petition your government to deport illegals and stop allowing people to give them jobs.

End of story. Period. Anything else is Hot-air.

Haiti will never get on her feet alone. NEVER. NEVER. If you call that a defeatist mindset, you truly do not understand the gravity of the situation.

It's been interesting. My internet experience has perhaps ruined my love for the DR and the people I used to call "primo/prima".

Keep spreading your hate for it will surely come back to you.
