Why was Van Pelt wrong here? Selig in no way, shape, or form deserves the kind of compensation he is receiving. Dude basically sat at his desk with blinders on while steroids and owners slowly killed the sport with steroids.

By the way the very best player in the Alou family never got to play in the big leagues because of prejudice to his name ....He was arguably the very best all around player in the Alou Family but his name kept him in the minors for his whole career....go and ask the oldtimers about the the best of the Alous and they will all tell you it was Boog Alou but with that name nobody wanted him what a shame for poor Boog .....and a little known piece of history :lol :

I agree, not only did the majority of MLB know that steroids were being used but in their own way condoned it by just letting it be. Baseball was in bad shape after the strike and this was the perfect way to bring the fans back to the ballpark, HR slugfest. Everyone is guility from Bud down to the trainers. Everyone knew this was going on and NOBODY cared, nobody except Boog Alou of course, lol.
