SANTO DOMINGO.- Three judges of the Superior Land Court issued an arrest warrant against the president of Group Cap Cana for contempt of court, news site Diario Digital reported.

Ricardo Hazoury failed to appear in court Monday for a hearing on alleged real estate fraud charges filed by the proprietor of several improvements, said Diario Digital, in a case involving the unauthorized mortgage of a  property worth 40 million dollars.

The judges Rafael Ciprián, Marino Alvarez and Luz Ubiñas also placed an impediment exit against Hazoury, as part of the ruling handed down after they awaited the business leader to appeaer, several hours into the hearing, despite being duly supoenaed, the news site said.

Oh Oh ,

Supposedly these are the investors in Air Dominicana :

Some of the Dominicans involved:

Grupo Hazourys = Grupo Abrisa i.e. Cap Cana, AERODOM ..AILA, Samana airport etc.

Bermudez probably = the guy behind the Santiago Airport , Popy Bermudez... free rum, I suppose.

Corporación Aeroportuaria del Este = Frank Rainieri/PUNTACANA Airport and the PUNTACANA RESORT & CLUB etc, ..

TFISKE, whatever do you mean by the qualifier "one way or another"? what if it turns out that a bunch of innocent investors, with honest intentions, get ripped off? would you find that satisfactory?

for those of you who know sales incentive tourism .....Air Dominicana is the missing piece of the puzzle....Our top hotels will be able to offer corporate top to bottom service for these special groups with unlimited budgets....these incentive groups do things like bring in someone like celine dion or jimmy buffet for one show just for their employees....

Jander and Perception: I know why You are being "Stagnant" because Your beloved other country is not on the map for anything.

I know how it hurts..................................................

I am not hurting yet and I live in the DR so maybe you are confused.
I don't know anyone personally yet that is hurting in the US but it looks like some are.

I just saw a local DR news report that they are lowering the tax on Jet fuel this was an annoucement by the head of tourism. So they may have a few tricks up their sleeve

I am not against Air Dominicana but have the right to be skeptical and I have not insulted anyone or anyones country only posted some and facts.

I am always intrigued when someone invests in what others would consider suicide and am nore intigued when they prove everyone wrong.

Thats just the way I am..

I won't be cashing my Advantage miles yet .

exactly how does air dominicana fit into the demographic of people with unlimited budgets? is it supposed to be a luxury carrier with top flight, opulent service? the last such airline, which offered such services, operating out of vancouver, went belly up long ago.

these groups spend bogling amounts of money to reward the most productive employees dredy I am suprised you are not aware of this segment but it is lucrative and very high end....Another segment which we will have difficulty is bare boat charters also very lucrative/....the beautiful marinas at Cap Cana and Casa will serve transiting yachtsman but bare boats will be tough

Escott, unfortunately for you, i do not share your contention that i have to get your permission to post a comment. you might own some real estate, but you do not own the broadband. you might find my opinions antithetical to your way of thinking, but that is what democracy is all about. i have always sought to be cordial with you, but you seem to seek out every post i make and attack me. before you become so doctrinaire and confrontational, might i suggest that you yourself, as a foreigner, exercise a little restraint when you describe your hosts with such uncharitable appelations as ANIMALS!
