The two canine cellmates appear to be twins and are fervently pleading "I was framed. Do something!"

The inmate on the our left has long nails of its right paw and his companion on our right has had its nails done on its left paw. Note that the more innocent-looking companion on our right has a streak of white hair that runs up the center to top of his head, proof that it bites.

I take comfort that the agenda for the conference includes "disaster preparedness" and "animal welfare education," because the twins appear to be in real trouble.

I hope that the yellow ribbon dangling from the top of their cell doesn't signify anything unpleasant. In the reactionary German concentration camps in the 1930s and '40s, yellow meant prepare for the oven.

Today, in the US concentration camps, yellow means prepare for torture.

"The conference, to be held at the Hotel Melia," the DT reports.

The Hotel Melia Cohiba just may be the finest of Havana's many 5-star hotels which are independently assessed by international hotel experts.

Many guests think so! Including tens of thousands of US tourists.

[This Havana hotel is ranked not by the AAA, a US car driver group, as is many US hotels. The US car drivers rank by "diamonds" rather than "stars"].

Hotel Melia Cohiba is world class! In total there are 401 rooms and 61 suites.

Occupancy averages about 95% at any given time.

I don't know if the Melia in Havana, like its namesake in Santo Domingo, lets dogs register.

There is one nuisance that guests at the Havana Melia must put up with; the US imperialists send terrorists to Havana's hotels to plant bombs in them and when the terrorists return to the USA, the GOP regime protects and honors them.

I found very offensive to do this conference at Dominicana, when there is many citizens living worst than a "Dog".

Hello, I'm desparately trying to find any information about this animal welfare conference that has been held between the 20th and 21th of April this year, how it passed, what went on there, but I find only the announcement which lies now in the past. I have a small association for creole dogs, we are helping an association on Martinique to place their unplacables but what we really want to do is to raise funds for castration campaigns in the Caribbean where I lived for a long time. In order to do that it is necessary to create a public interest here, Germans are very active in animal welfare, news about this conference could help us greatly to increase this interest. If anyone knows anything about the outcome of this conference please contact me under: gorskiisabel@t-online.de. Please visit our homepage www.kreolischerhund.de. Its still all in German and French but that can be changed. If any Caribbean animal welfare org.wants to link up with us, you are welcome to it. Sincerly,Isabel
