SANTO DOMINGO. - The presidential candidates will be going to their polling places early Friday to vote in the capital and other cities, as well as the constituents who head to their hometowns.
President Leonel Fernandez, of the PLD party, will vote in the school Dominican Republic in the Villa Juana sector where he was born.
The presidential candidate of the opposition PRD party, Miguel Vargas Maldonado, is scheduled to vote in the school San Juan Bautista, of Bella Vista at 8:30 a.m. according to people close to his campaign, whereas Amiable Aristy, candidate of the PRSC, headed to his native city Higüey (east), where he’ll vote in the town’s Post Office.
