DAJABON.- The Dominican Immigration Agency director today asked the border security agencies to investigate the Jesuit Border Solidarity Movement’s denunciation that “an aggressive traffic of Haitian children” being used to work, beg and other tasks.

Carlos Amarante said it’s important to pay attention to the denunciation, “and we in Immigration have stayed in the capital and Santiago’s main avenues, trying to keep these women with children from being exposed to danger.”

Newspaper El Nacional said after the Jesuits denounced the trafficking of minors along border towns, the Haitian children who are brought to the border city to beg weren’t in the main streets, where they beg from motorists and pedestrians daily.

“We believe that given the amount of Haitian parents in Dominican Republic, they first come and then try to bring to their children, just as we Dominicans do when we travel to the United States, who look to gather the family… we are facing that reality,” said Amarante Thursday.

Immigration wouldn’t launch an investigation on the allegation, the official said, noting that it’s up to the Border Security Corp (CESFRONT) and other Dominican law enforcement agencies.

Amarante also said he expects Border Solidarity Movement to present evidence of its allegation.

Drug criminals such have used kids to ingest packaged drugs into their system to act as mules. They have even used pregnant women! Once the drugs pass then the kids are of no use to drug dealers on the RD side as the drugs are now within the RD, closer to PR and the US borders.

The drugs is Big $$$ and everyone knows it except the US DEA because they are hoodwinked by DNCD that the RD is doing all it can...while RD Gov officials, local police all have their hands out for sharing of drug profits. A friends neighbor in Santiago Los Platanitos - Ensanche Coanabo is a big micro trafficker of drugs and everyone knows it but does not want to be black listed by local police for reporting criminal activity. The police are actually paid to report back to drug dealers like Choppo (Jose Annibal Lopez Pichardo) a convicted drug criminal and repeat offender. So, good Dominicans who are poor & Haitians kids can not force the RD Gov to do what is morally right!

Sorry for the children really bad since they are innocent angels from God, the Haitian goverment must step up and do something proactive for Their citizens instead of playing the tiresome victim and abusing the Dominican Republic.

"Enough is enough"

Haitian goverment is like a child without discipline, rules or blueprints.

No wonder why the Haitians are living in the past without any other regulation and policy than discrimination, racism and being dark color.

Time to grow up people "PLEASE"

I don't have any proof, but I'm 100 % sure that there are high ranking people involved in this issue. Both the Dominican and the Haitian government have the obligation to hunt down those child traffickers, as well as those officials who are responsible in preventing this kind of crime, and let them all face justice for this UNSPEAKABLE CRIME.
