Santo Domingo.- Dominican Customs and the Public Health Ministry’s Drugs and Pharmacies Agency seized RD$8.7 million worth of medicines smuggled through Santiago’s Cibao Airport.
Among the drugs seized are 42,000 Acromona Ovul of 500 mg; 65,400 tablets of Dolo Neurobión and 119,000 of Serial.
It also contains Flanax of 550 gm, 5,000 units; Ibenol Folic, 8,640 units, and childrens’ Cataflan of 12.5mg, 1, 350 units. Also included Aldomet of 250mg, 7,560 units; Indocid Sup. dee 100 mg, 1, 788 units; Tramal 100 mg, 1, 495 units; Valerpan mp. 2,050 units.
Customs director Miguel Cocco ordered an investigation into the contraband, which arrived in 15 boxes aboard a Delta Cargo flight.

Somebody is trying to get away without paying the exorbitant TAXES due.
