NAGUA, Dominican Republic.- The lawyer of the realtor Baldera on Friday said the closing of the exchanges houses owned by Francisco Baldera, father of Eduardo, the victim in a mysterious kidnapping, was only because it had no license.
The lawyer Pedro Baldera said they’ll verify if it’s a general policy of the Banks Superintendence, “because they only closed his client’s business, but the majority of these establishments in Nagua operate in the same condition and remain open.”
Yesterday nine Banks Superintendence officials as well as Police and narcotics agents closed Baldera’s exchange houses in Nagua (north) and a branch in Samaná (northeast), but the lawyer denied reports that the business was a front for money laundering.
The lawyer also denied reports that five million dollars had been exchanged in the business, and said those commentaries come from sectors he didn’t identify, “which look to jeopardize the businessman Francisco Eduardo Baldera.”

Baldera is not a 'realtor' unless he is licensed in the USA. Realtors here in the DR don't exist. They are agents or brokers, OK, but get the terminology right. That is like me saying I am a doctor because I have an office with a sign that says Medical Services with a desk and phone, but no degree or license. Realtors don't exist here.

Regarding the thugs, the problem is that we are ALL like monkey's what we see is what we do. Unfortunatelly, all we see (and hear on Radio) on TV is about crimes and bitches and Ni66as. If we hear or see about helping each other and being good for your community, then we don't want to hear it.

This guy just doesn't look tough to me. He should do everything he can to never wind up in jail, especially an American jail.

The greatest concern here was the killing in cold blood by the police of the two alleged kidnappers

easy there my friends. it seems most of you have forgotten when you were young and dressed after a silly fashion. today is much, much different than when we were young. i too don't appreciate the fashion of the young but remember the issue here is not fashion but this young man has been kidnapped and that is no joke.

eltinaje01,
Uhhh to your comment, NO...
When I was coming up we did not dress like or wanna be like ghetto gorillas. The current fads of wearing baggie oversized jeans so your boxers are exposed, belts undone and shorts that are 6" above the ankle ALL came from the American prison system....the prison issued elastic waisted, sometimes drawstring "drawers" never fit right....same with the "shower shoes and socks"....that be how Tarnell walks the ward....no shoe laces allowed!
Sorry, but I was raised to wear my pants on hips, not walk on the back of my sneakers (now they sell MULES) and to always be clean....I was also taught to speak American English properly and taught Spanish in a classroom...I admit my Espanol may be a bit "de la calle".
I am guilty of wearing ball caps....backwards....but that's only when sighting my Barrett thru the Leopold scope...the brim be in the way.
