Santo Domingo.- Not even people of her inner circle agree whether the photos newspaper El Nacional published Monday noon are that of Dominican Republic’s most wanted fugitive Sobeida Felix Morel.

Some say it’s the fugitive and others, without flatly denying it, have their doubts.

“But what’s undeniable is that they seek to send the message that despite her captivity and of the photo in which somebody places a firearm to him in the head, in even when she’s gagged and her arms are tied,” the newspaper says.

It adds that investigators look for an alleged taxi driver who brought the photos to El Nacional, |after getting paid by a certain Héctor, who’s also nowhere to be found.”

Hi guys! I just opened a new thread on the forum where I request you post a comment asking the DT administrators to grant a general amnesty to ALL the forum members that have been banned (i.e, CG, generoso, jacirez, trinitario, and all the others). If you think it's a good idea, please add your comments.

Thank you.

I do not think that a amnesty should be provided to any menber who has been banned. Rules are rules and they must be followed by everyone. Even dominican posters. In addition, a number of the posters you mentioned who have been deservingly banned have been members for some time now, and should know the rules, and as such, they should be setting an example for everyone else.

I say let them stay banned for the period of time they are banned for, there is no room in the this forum for favorable treatment or for those who can't follow the rules.

What does this even mean??? There should be an arrest made of the person who wrote this for murder of the English language, in the first degree.

Pleases read this and then answer my question at the end:

Million-peso bounties

The authorities are offering a one-million peso reward for the location and capture of Sobeida Feliz and Jose D. Figueroa Agosto, both fugitives who are wanted in connection with suspected money laundering activities that ended with a haul of US$4.6 million in cash inside one of their vehicles.
El Nuevo Diario says that the authorities will hold a joint press conference today providing details on the efforts under way to find and arrest the two fugitives as well as the details of this very unusual reward. The press conference is being held at the National Drug Control Department (DNCD) headquarters this morning, and Generals Guzman Fermin of the National Police and Rosado Mateo of the DNCD will take part along with the District Attorney for the National District.

I propose trading abc for Sobeida.......she is better looking [mustache and all] and much less harmful.

All in all, a very good trade!

Sobeida Feliz's escape and Figueroa Agosto's mysterious disappearance led to speculation that they received help from "powerful elements in the country."
Political cartoonists are having a field day with the case, and in today's El Caribe one of the characters is depicted picking up a stack of bills on the beach and saying: "I guess Sobeida was here!"

Now the question;

If LIE-onel Fernandez is so personally involved in apprehending this bail jumper, because that is all she is, as she has not been convicted of anything yet, and she is so key to apprehend the convict felony fugitive from Puerto Rico, why wouldn’t you take a million dollars of the 4.6 million dollars they claim to have recovered in her SUV and offer it as reward?

I bet you she would turn up in minute! In fact Vincho may even stop protecting her and claim the reward himself!

Don't be too hasty to buy any stories from either Sobeida or her family.

Dominicans can be pretty good actors, and it is not unexpected to have the entire family partake in the drama.

Please remember Vivian....she could have gotten at least one Oscar for her performance! LF didn't fair so well as her director, however, because he was much too transparent.

Remember what we're dealing here with: law-breakers who deal in drugs and whose prey is our youth and future. No matter their story, they must be tried and brought to justice and pay for their misdeeds.

In this instance, given Dominican propensity for looking the other way in this type of crime, I am going to take the view that: "if it quacks like a duck, walks like a duck, then it must be a duck!". I suppose is the right thing to do.

Sobeida was caught with the money; was dirving a Range Rover, and lived in a luxury apartment that she clearly could not afford on her travel agent income.

Definitely a duck!!!!!

Definitely contrived!

First of all, her associates prefer anonymity.

Second of all there were no ransom demands, so what was purpose of picture?

Picture definitely connote aura of posing and contrivance. Girl is wearing sexy night gown, with very minor bruise on right knee. Plastic straps don't help, either. I believe this is a desperate family undertaking to divert attention and shift focus to possible kidnapping. I don't buy it for a minute! I think both family and Sobeida are guilty, for that is Dominican way. Now everybody will claim to be honorable and God-fearing citizens, but I don't buy that either.

When Sobeida is found, if alive, she must be brought to justice and pay for her crimes, no matter the circumstances of her disappearance. If she was kidnapped, then we shall deal with kidnappers, but that's separate from the crimes she is responsible for, and not even LFR should clear that.
