Santo Domingo.- Anti-riot Police fired tear gas canisters at the Public Health Ministry’s branch offices in downtown Santo Domingo Wednesday morning, to force the doctors and nurses who occupied it since yesterday, to demand a wage increase and other grievances.

Police agents have cordoned off the Metropolitan Nucleus Zero Health Service, located at Doctor Delgado street, adjacent to the National Palace.

Dominican Medical Association (CMD) president Waldo Ariel Suero said by telephone, since the journalists were barred entry, that the situation of the occupants is critical. He said the gases have irritated their eyes and other parts of their bodies.

Suero has led the CMD members in numerous and as yet unsuccessful protests for a pay raise, and have been the target tear gas.

Hasco es que dan ya. When they stop taking the meds from the hospital to their VEHICLES'S AMBULANTE office and agree to reform so they can attend a least a few hour in the hospital and not bill the hospital for time not serve then they can talk in the meantime agree with the tear gas.

"denial of constitutional rights to honorable doctors and nurses fighting for a living wage!"

So there is a constitutional right in the DR to Trespass, Threaten and Vandalize?

These "Doctors" are criminals! They should be treated as such.

The only Governments that took care of the Public Hospitals were Trujillo and Balaguer. Public Health is not a priortity of the PLD or the PRD.

Fronteras is not a priority too like it was during Trujillo and Balaguer. minimal national debt is not a priority too to the contrary all these borrowing from IMF reminds me of the early 80's PRD prestamos. We can go on forever.

That is why I keep reminding people here that our once strong peso used to be in par with the US Dollar and the gas used to cost 39cent when Balaguer was president. Then our lefty opposition took over and all hell broke loose.

Canada needs doctors and RD needs visitors, so make a trade; 1 doctor for every 10,000 visitors.

I show the world how wrong you are and that is the best line you can come up with?

Go back and defend the indefensible. Go defend murderers. Go Defend criminals. Go defend losers who have a medical degree and care more about getting paid for not working than for their patients.

Doctors have a right to protest.
Doctors have a right to strike but morally they don't

Doctors don't have the right to violently trespass public or private property. That makes them criminals

Doctors fighting for a living wage are now "murders and criminals." Those fumes at the NASCAR events have finally done away with the minimal brain cells you had, if in fact you ever had any to begin with!
