SANTO DOMINGO.- A crowd of Haitians hurled stones at the Dominican embassy in Port-au-Prince, while truck drivers from that country prevent their Dominican pars from entering that territory at the Jimani and Malpasse crossing.

During the protest one died Haitian from tear the gas fired by that country’s Police to force them to retreat, according to the Haitian journalist Alexander Diose, who added that a group of Haitian NGOs began gathering in front of the Dominican embassy since the early morning hours.

FILE.- Charity organizations staged a rally in front of the Dominican embassy in Port-au-Prince today, in protest for the death of a Haitian citizen in Santo Domingo on Saturday, amid conflicting reports out of the neighboring country’s capital.

Dominican embassy senior official Pastor Vasquez said the manifestation was peaceful and denied that two Dominican women were killed in Haiti’s capital, in reprisal for the beheading death of a national from that country in Santo Domingo, as local media reported.

Vazquez, speaking by telephone to newspaper diariolibre.com, also denied that a Haitian citizen died in front of the embassy from the effects of tear gas. “The manifestation was peaceful, everything is calm and the embassy personnel are safe."

Earlier the Haitian journalist Alexander Jusseps reported in newspaper Proceso, that two as yet identified Dominican women had been murdered in Port-au-Prince, and that a second protest had been planned in front of the Dominican ambassador’s residence at Petionville Friday morning.

Charity organizations? Or political activists masquerading as charities?

And understand that any thinking person must deplore the violence here and in Haiti.

Now they are killing innocent Dominicans on that side without fully understanding things. It's an endless cycle of ignorance and stupidity that will just anger and cause more bloodshed. This is a conflict that's been cooking up for a while, and the idiot politicians don't have the balls to confront the main issues at hand.

It's sad to read that..., I hope Dominicans and Haitians can team up and work together on various potential problems such as immigration, environment, Trade, drug Traffics, diseases, social issues, and so forth.

This petty altercation is only of great benefit to the elites who have interest in seeing both parts of the island so divided. The Haitian elite is doing business with the Dominican elite. They all are making worthy money together, and they have common interest.

But the point is, by far both side of the island are fighting like wild cats and dogs, higher can be both elites’ economic profits. Dominicans and Haitians are fooled by those extremist elites. This blame game all across both countries is unnecessary, thus we need to understand what’s exactly at stake here…

Dominicans and Haitians need to speak in a united voice against racial discrimination all across the island. We all need to work on legislation to fix the immigration system that will hurt us mightily…

I want to ask Dominican people from everywhere to consider Haitian people like brothers. We need to be SMARTER than the extremist Haitians and Dominicans who are trying to fade away the relationship between both countries.

I contacted some medias in Port-au-Prince (HAITI), and the information related to the death of two Dominican women is WRONG and WRONG… We should understand that there’s a group of people (Dominicans and Haitians) who is ready to seize any opportunity to flare up any type of dissension between Haiti and DR. We need to be clever than those who are always working on dividing both countries.

Haitians and Dominicans, stay cool… We should be SMARTER than the extremist Haitians and Dominicans. May GOD bless you all…

in order to find an understanding between the two nation, one nation needs to first act like one.
what i mean by that is the lack of governance in haiti, your ideas would work fine is haiti will come up with something that resembles and army or a police corp.

Your conspiracy theory of elite societies running the masses against each other is nothing but hogwash. The haitian nation should take responsabilities for their corrupt government and if any agreement is going to be made, first they need to take back the more than 2 millions ilegal hatians in DR territory.

And we totally understand what's a stake here. the future of DR, how can we survive when we carry such a heavy load of iresponsabilities?

DonManuel ...of course you are 100% correct in what you write and so many people here write inflamatory words and try to keep the two nations apart based on events that occurred before they were born and because one country has a french background and another has a french background ..France and Spain are neighbours and have a good relationship now even after hundreds of years of animosity.
you can go anywhere in the world and see neighbouring countries that were former enemies now having a harmonious relationship but here the lower intelligent classes try to establish and maintain hatred and division where as those with a more mature mind try to establish a peaceful and harmonious relationship.

I want Haitians and Dominicans to stop the blame game. The immigration issue must be discussed at a higher level. We don’t need expeditious justice. Both governments have to work to secure their border and to fix the broken immigration system.

It’s not going to be easy. But we need to start discussing future legislation. Haitians and Dominicans need to find a current compromise. Both governments should engage in serious talk to assuage any possible immigration issue.

Haitians and Dominicans should work together and show the enemies that we know how to leave our discrepancies behind us. For God’s sake… We have too much in common, and we still waste our time in cheap talking…

Two weeks ago I visited the neighborhood of Washington Heights, New York, with my fellow fulbrigthers. I’ve met a lot of educated Dominicans who clearly understand the issues between Haiti and RD. We need to be more open one to each other and discuss faithfully about our people’s interests.

We need to promote more positive energy in both sides of the island. A basic dynamic of energy is that we attract who we are. The more positive energy we give off, the more we’ll magnetize to us. It works like this: violence attracts violence, happiness attracts happiness, love attracts love, and ... Peace attracts Peace...

It’s not an exaggeration to say that both countries had never have a profound disagreement, or indisputable and unsolved problems.

Immigration is a complex issue, but it can be solved if we play by the rules. We have to provide those who are living in Dominican Republic with legal documents, and dissuade those who want to cross the border illegally from doing so. In fact, Haitian and Dominican authorities must work together and do not let space for extremists and corrupt businesses who are currently reigning on both sides of the border.

This conflict is the product of european imperialism. Why? They cut a border in between a small island that divides two people who are maybe 1 shade off the color scale apart. This division made the island what it is today an island of ignorance and conflict therefore no progress can be obtained. Look at Africa ,the European powers did the same thing they divided the nations in a sense so there can always be conflict. They diivided Africa into single Nations who house two or three rival tribes. And many of the African Nations are in Civil War because of this strategic divisions. Now for La Hispanola, when you divide you conquer when an Island that should have been one Nation to begin with is divided the Island is weaker and therefore this island will never progress. As radical as it seems the only way to solve this promblem is by first Educating the Haitian and Dominican People, because with out education you cant do anything and then slowly intergrate the island.

It is funny how all this Haitians trolls talk about what we need to do to fix the haitian/dominican relationship.

and i said let's talk about what you haitians need to do in order for your poor masses to avoid been abuse in the DR and other places like Jamaica and the bahamas, which by the way never gets mentioned when the government of this islands openly descriminate against haitians, in the bahamas they have no rights whatsoever not even to go school.
Even press Obama has failed to sign legislation halting the mass deportation of illegal haitians from the US. It seen to me their patriotism only come out when the violence is done by a dominican, which feeds the stereotype of haitians been a bunch of ungrateful children that bites the hand that feed you, let's not forget that if wasn't for DR been somehow a more prosperous country haitians would be eating each other right now.

Old school Trinitario brought an interesting observation about the treatment of Haitian in the other Caribbean island. This data is important as it clearly shows that the Haitian intend to unify their forces to selective pound on DR and take over the island.

The selective Haitian respond is not done by mistake. It has a delivered intention. Like Trinitario said, the U.S. is about to deport 30,000 Haitian in Miami and the Haitian would not even protest in front of the U.S. embassy in Port of Pigs.

We must reciprocate the Haitian action so that they don't interpret our lack of action as "fear" or "impotence." Our Government is being forced to be defensive and pacifist (by the internationals) and this atittude is eroding our sovereingty and our society!

Andria, please do not disrespect STO DGO/DR history! The whole island was STO DGO and the stupid buccaneers helped France placed their slaves on the western side of STO DGO.

We can not unite! The addition of failure to poor performance leads to failure! DR has prospered way before the Haitian began dumping their inresponsibilities and failures to DR.

In Africa, of course the different tribes will not merge to the obedience of the political drawn lines (like in Nigeria and Cameroon). But also there is the threat of the muslims who are conducting genocide to implant their religion!

By 2020, the muslims will be the majority in France, Spain, and probably in the U.K. The Muslims are the next biggest threat to the world (a different topic)!

Bahamas -- The flow of Haitians sneaking into the Bahamas is turning into a flood that is straining social services and bringing calls for mass deportations.
The development also worries U.S. officials, who fear it might be a forerunner of a new surge of Haitians trying to get into the United States to escape their nation's dismal economy and political instability. Bahamian authorities estimate 60,000 Haitians are living illegally among the island chain's 360,000 citizens. The military, which has increased patrols at sea, says 4,220 Haitians were caught last year - - the highest number in a decade and nearly 50 percent more than were stopped in 2001. Over the years, some Bahamians welcomed the Haitians as a source of cheap labor, but there is a growing chorus demanding that the government crack down and send the migrants back home. "They use our hospitals, our social system, they clog up our schools and take away from Bahamians," said Theodore Roberts, a 31- year-old technician. " co

I'll repeat what you said:"Children, why can't you let the pedophiles live together with you in your room?, we need to promote peace between you two...yada yada yada...God bless you all...

Don Manuel, I got an idea. Let's promote the building of a water canal along the border so that we can use the water for energy production. Just like they built the Panama Canal, we can part the island in two and allow the ocean find itself on the other side, making it clear where each country lies. Then we send them back to their ancestral land and they use their Unity makes the force to rebuild Haiti. I'm a fucking genious, I should get a nobel prize for avoiding the next genocide.

I don't care if you don't like your own Haitian women and are chasing white women like many negroes in USA currently are. Dominican and Haitian relations are only going to improve when Haitians stay out of our business. and these lynchings will only get worse as more Haitians flow into DR. May I ask you,why do you think it is fair to inundate another country with people that are broke and will just turn the host into themselves? FYI-Haitians are now ~12% of DR's population and as they keep invading, this DR/Haiti integration time bomb will explode and we'll be on the verge of civil war. Why don't you want the Haitians back to Haiti and justify this invasion? why don't you put the blame on the Haitian politicians that spend about 90% of the GDP on commodities and 10% on the people? answer me that

My dear friend I did not want to go there but now I have to get medieval on your ass. In respond to your comments do you really dont want those poor haitian migrant workers in your country anymore, I wonder what would happen if you did not have that source of cheap labor source anymore. Also what would happen if haiti was to close its border with DR Im sure your local market would not have any problem absorbing that 1Billion USD per year trade relation you have with haiti. But you see I do understand it is hard to see the big picture when you are at the bottom fighting for crumbs.

Here we going again. PajaroDiamond, you better go back to school and learn you economics 101 again.
1. Cheap labor gives you only minor temporary competitive advantage, later leading to inequality and greater economic chaos. It just not worthy.
2. Labor market are flexible and adjustment would benefit Dominican with higher income, even if the initial effect is slower economic growth. No serious economics would discuss against this statement.
3. The nation comes before anything else. Haiti will remain Haiti, DR will disappear if Haitians are not sent back as soon as possible. Enough of this abuse. Let's respect each other from our respective space.
4. Haiti is too poor to be a desired market. That's why nobody cares to invest there. Only will never develop if the count on Haitian purchasing power to move forward. Even Nicaragua has a more attractive market than Haiti. Haiti is just worthless. It's making us waste time when we could concentrate on acquiring other serious markets.

Patdiamond learn this and learn this quickly.

Humanity IS A SPECIE. And that specie contains at least 5 races (mongoloids, congoloids, capoids, caucasoids, and australoids).

Nature favors diversity (not homogeneity) so as to increase the human specie chances of survival to stresses! If you homogenize the human species, you have put that specie in danger of extinction (i.e. one virus can wiped them out).

Before, we came up with a language, the human specie already had at least 7 races so we found ourselves diversed (shaped by geographic and weather) way before human idealities were formulated to defeat nature's natural response to stresses!

DO NOT DEFEAT NATURE'S LAWS WITH HUMAN IDEALITIES! We must have diversity and we should nupture ethnic and race differences!

Just because there are Dominican prostitutes does not imply we are going to put our guard down and let DR vanishes into nothing with the current nationality dilution coming from Haiti. Nor we are going to cover our eyes to the danger Haiti represent to the entire island! Your logic is faulty and we need to step up the intensity of our response to the Haitian invasion and we must use force against the Haitian so they understand there is a price to a violation!

Our sovereignty and its survival is above any economical, social or political gains that may threaten our sovereignty. We prioritized and nupture the fatherland above any other advantages (including money).

Truth the U.S. said the DR is a distribution point for both drugs and terrorism knowing that we have a huge problem controlling our border especially the one with Haiti! The U.S. itself does not control its own borders so for them to accuse a poor country for a lack of border control is DEFAMATION! Especially when the U.S. removed its Navy from the Caribbean sea in 2002 to pursuit Middle East tasks and now the whole Caribbean is left to its own devices against the drugs, weapons, and contraband trafficking!

DR has 2 million Haitians. There are more than 4 million Haitians worldwide (1+ million in the U.S., 1+ million between France and Canada, 0.5 million Cuba/Bahamas/Jamaica/Turk & Caicos). Haiti has 9.6 million people. Therefore, the total Haitian population in the world is ~ 14 millions!

Now, if USA wants to build a wall to curb immigration, they are in their wrights to do whatever they want, it is their land now. Every country should do what is in their best interest.

You are a self hating mulatto who thinks he is black yet you talk about us thinking we are white which we don't, we recognize we are by large, mulattoes and be that. Talk about double standard.

LTDBG: we will have to have a "don't feed the troll" policy in the forums. Ya que sabemos cual es la agenda de ellos y que corre por la ente del haitiano. No son necesarios mas datos de ellos. Ya sabemos lo que necesitamos.

Mitonmass, welcome we know who you are.

Read this from letroudevallegeneroso:

Pat get this quickly! Out of the 2 million Haitian in DR, ~ 700,000 are Haitian children getting bang around! Most hang around the big cities and tourists area. You are not going to hide and/or cover that fact with the Dominican prostitutes! The reason you don't see that many Haitian prostitutes in Europe or Asia is because nobody will give them visa!!!!!

Instead the Haitian vagina are giving birth to 6 or 7 children. These children end up in DR! It is a shame Haitian adults send their children for fornification so they can send money back! That is cowardness!

An estimated 2,500 to 3,000 Haitian children are trafficked annually to the Dominican Republic.[1945] According to UNICEF, the civil unrest in 2004 has resulted in an increased number of children trafficked to the Dominican Republic to work as beggars or prostitutes.[1946]

Get a load of that!!!

Wao,Wao,Wao!!!

Why didn't the zookeepers control the wild beasts?

They feed the animals in the zoo called Haiti but they need to control them or at least put some calming agents in the feed.
