Nassau, Bahamas.- Miss Dominican Republic, Ada Aime de la Cruz, continues to exude all her enchantment and elegance in the activities leading to the election of the new Miss Universe in the pageant slated for August 23 in Nassau.

These days the world’s 84 most beautiful candidates are busy in public relations activities and posing for the media.

A Web site which gathers fans of the pageant worldwide has ranked de la Cruz third in popularity.

Gambling Web site wagers on the local candidate

"Miss Universe 2009 takes place on the 23rd August and according to the bookies betting odds it seems that Miss Mexico and Miss Dominican Republic are the ones to beat, although a few bookies are ducking Miss Australia under the assumption she has a great chance," the Web site online-betting-guide.co.uk says.

After seeing those babes, only thing that comes to mind is what John Belushi remarked aloud, while staring at a good looking family, eating in a restaurant in the blues brothers movie:

Jake: [fakes accent] How much for the little girl? How much for the women?
Father: What?
Jake: Your women. I want to buy your women.

Hey Cacique, most of the people from Ocoa, although very good looking are a lot more lighter(If I say whiter all the hate of the world would fall on me on this site) than Ada. From what I hear Ocoa was her grandfather's town.

In my opinion the one on the far left LOOKS like a real winner, from the out side. A couple of the others TO ME look a bit......well, trashy [wanting attention]. Since most Pageant Judges judge the out side [looks] one can only wonder about the about inside.
Remember the old saying.... "Beauty is only skin deep", "Looks aren't everything", "Looks to the eyes can be deceiving" and "Looks come and go".
I wish ALL the best of luck.
