Santo Domingo.- Dominican driver Nil Montserrat Simó yesterday won the Spanish  Formula 3 Cup, finishing 3rd overall race and leader in the F-306 category, in the final race of the Jarama Circuit.

The course hosts the most important tournament of its kind in Europe and brings together 30 teams from various counties, all of them seeking to reach Formula 1.

The pilot finished this race with good results for the Valencia team’s GTA Motor Competition, after the initial win on the first day.

Montserrat-Simó, a Dominican of Catalonian descent, was running third in the early laps and jockeyed for first place before four-car collision forced a halt in the race.
