Calm down, yum. Anybody can have an off year, this guy has the proven potential to be the best second baseman in the entire league.

Yum, truth is that he played so poorly last year that I don't think anybody else wants him. His talent is not at question, the issues seem to be about his work ethic and lackadaisical approach. This team has been painful to watch these last seasons, you can trace their losing approach to the arrival of the all-time greatest choker in the history of professional sports. I think that the DR team is the most stacked up and down in the upcoming World Baseball Classic but I don't think anyone can win with that bad luck talisman around their neck. I don't even have to mention his name for you to know exactly who I'm talking about, now, why do you suppose that is?

devin11, It goes without saying that Alex Rodriguez is the single most TALENTED player in baseball today. No one possesses the blend of power, speed, and defensive prowess that this guy has. it's amazing how people forget of his teammates struggled mightily as well, even the unflappable Derek Jeter, But it's not like Alex Rodriguez has single-handedly sunk the Yankees' World Series hopes. Over that same span, the team's postseason ERA was a whopping 5.18! Slumps happen, even to the best players in the game.

A-Rod'signing brought new interest and crowds never before experienced by the Yankees. Not even with Ruth, Gehrig, DiMaggio, Mantle, Jackson or any other player in the game before. They never had four million in attendance before ARod arrived.

he's awesome...Brian Cashman and the rest of the Yankee top dogs know what they're doing when they pay some one that much money... honestly would the pay him so much if they were "unsure". these people have years of experience in baseball and they are smart enough to decide if he's worth it

For all of his attributes he is a rally killer as I have never before seen, he leaves more men in scoring position during big games than fans in the seats. He most never bats his weight during any playoff series. Would you care to guess how many 7th inning or after r.b.i.'s he had last season with one month left to play? Exactly one more than you Yum, in fact I would rather see you hit in a pressure spot than A-Fraud. Please remember that Brian Cashman also signed Carl Pavano, Randy Johnson and Kevin Brown, who did that turn out? Also consider that every team A-Fraud left became playoff contenders the year after his departure (Mariner's & Rangers). The Rangers were in dead last for just about every season he was with them and in the playoffs the year after he left.

Alex is a trancendent player but he's got things to prove in the big games. The DR team better get it together this time cause if they dont.... Anyway this is about Robinson so hopefully he will get his act together, he always shows up big against the redcox though. I still remember that 2 HR game against Shcilling, great stuff
