Santo Domingo.– Dominican Robinson Cano is already in shape for the World Baseball Classic, but his winter goals were strictly geared toward making a fresh, fast start with the Yankees.
Last season’s disappointments were "motivation for me this year," said Cano, who hopes to spend most of March helping the Dominican Republic win a World Baseball Classic title. "Now, I know I have to start from the beginning this year, in April, not in June."
And depending on when the tournament concludes, Cano might encounter Bernie Williams at Yankees’ spring training, as a guest instructor.
