Santo Domingo.– CompuExpo'09 will hold its twenty-fifth edition, 7-11 October 2009, at the Sans Souci Convention Center, in Santo Domingo Port, with the attendance of over 200 national and foreign companies belonging to the digital industry.
CompuExpo is the technology exposition with the longest tradition in the Dominican Republic, and it is considered as the “Technology Bridge of the Caribbean.” Since 1984 it is the leader in sources of IT business, computerized information technology and telecommunications.
According to its president, Manuel Valdez, the goals of CompuExpo 2009 are "to drive the growth of IT businesses, to create productivity patterns, to maximize and motivate IT investments, to offer the business sector new technological instruments and services, to set forth the software solutions most appropriate for our market and the Caribbean, and to strengthen the exposition with the integration of new technological lines such as Systems Security, Web Development Systems, Internet, Robotics and Video Games".
As part of the 2009 edition,
CompuExpo signed a contract with the a2zInc firm – with headquarters in
Columbia, Maryland, US– to serve as an administrative information processing center for more than 400
international events and over 200 large scale exhibitions around
the world.
With this new software tool, CompuExpo has become
the most powerful exhibition event in terms of management information
resources in the country.
