Santo Domingo.– Dominican singer and songwriter Marel Alemany celebrates his birthday tonight with a concert at at the Maunaloa club called “De Papel”.

Alemany is one of Dominican Republic's new crop of gifted young artists. With his debut album, De Papel (2006), he earned the respect of the musical scene in Santo Domingo, his hometown.

His sound is a mix of rock, soul, flamenco and alternative latin music, the product of the different influences he has received throughout the years and the variety of his international experiences.

Just read the article Koko...... it is really short, will only take about 40 seconds to read, if you do, it will tell you who he is... Nevertheless, if this guy is going to sing at the Maunaloa he is probably well known locally and is most likely expected to make a profit for the club, otherwise he would not be hired. And if you have not heard of him on the radio it is because he does not support the crooked DR radio stations owners that require a payola payment. Finally, KoKo if you don't really care who he is, what in HELL did you start reading this article in the first place and then, never mind, why did you even bother to take time to write a comment. Huhhh !!!!! Daaaahhh!!!!

why is it that everyone on this stupid thing always has something silly to respond to whateva comment i type jees. Obviosly when i asked who cares you do and feel real strong about the guy
