Santo Domingo.-  “1,000 kilometers for a cause” is the name given to the fund-raising tour with more than 100 members of 15 motorcycle clubs for the School of the Batey Contador, where more than 160 kids of low income families in San Pedro province (east) study in precarious conditions.

The tour began in Punta Cana, with a pit stop in the restaurant Tipico Bonao, where donations from the motorcycle club members; Tipico owner Oscar Batista Jr, and some philanthropic companies were gathered.

The tour continued until its final stop in the beach community Costambar, Puerto Plata (north).
