Santo Domingo.- At 7 p.m. Tuesday night the auditorium of the Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (FUNGLODE), the French university professor Guy Carcassone will dictate the conference “Constitutional Reform: a test of vitality for democracy."

The jurist, who has reputation in Constitutional Law and particular knowledge of the French Republic, has been sought as an advisor by numerous countries to participate in the revision of their respective constitutions.

Among the countries for which he’s provided consultations are Estonia, Kazakhstan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Ethiopia, South Africa, Argentina, Uruguay, Turkey, Paraguay, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Bolivia and Afghanistan.

Recently president Nicolas Sarkozy designated him a member of the Committee on France’s proposed new constitutional reform.
