SANTO DOMINGO.- A seminar-workshop began today in the Dominican capital on the protection of the sub-aquatic cultural patrimony aimed at learning the origin, development and present state of Dominican underwater archaeology, as part of UNESCO’s Convention on the Protection of the Subaquatic Patrimony.
The workshop, being held in the Museum of Modern Art, will address topics such as archaeology in the Dominican Republic, cultural legislation and management of the sub-aquatic cultural patrimony, among others.
The Sub-aquatic Cultural Patrimony is about all traces of human existence which has a cultural, historical or archaeological a character, which has been partially or totally underwater, periodically or continuously during 100 years.

I don't know, but LF is making lots of seemingly unimportant overseas trips to rich but inconsequential places. This makes me a bit skeptical.
