Taipei.- Taiwanese tourists will be able to visit the Dominican Republic with the purchase of just a ten US dollar sightseeing card.
Taiwan's foreign ministry said that people can buy the cards either in Taiwan at the Dominican Republic embassy or upon arrival at the Caribbean country’s airport. The card gives access to multiple countries.
The ministry also said that any Taiwanese who holds an American, EU, or Canadian visa can also enter the Dominican Republic in the same way.

I do travel to Japan on many occasions so I know how it's done!
You can book your flight to Taiwan along a departing flight for the next one out of there two days later (very common). Once you reach the airport they provide a transit visa for you there without a hitch... That's b/c travel from Japan doesn't require visas and the staff there automatically treats non-visa holders to Japan like any other person able to travel to Taiwan as well!
BTW: Dominicans can travel visa free to Japan for 3 month stays…
